J.G. Scherzer

J.G.Scherzer was an assistant in the workshop of A.Stauffer and calls himself "successor of Stauffer" on his label. He continously developped  guitars with multi-basses.  In 1856 he wins the "Makaroff-price" for the best guitar in Brussels

All instruments on this site are based in shape and internal construction on the original 6&7 (ca.1860) below. The models 7&3 and 7&4  are  designed according to customers request. The seventh string running over the fingerboard and the installation of half-tone-levers enable the player to serve baroque literature.
